Resumo
As cerimônias judiciais são analisadas como um processo de representação de poder na máquina judicial do Reino Unido do início da independência. Busca-se identificar as semelhanças e diferenças entre os dois períodos e sua relação com dois modelos de sociedade, uma em tese baseada no privilégio e na honra e a outra na igualdade e no mérito individual.

Abstract
The judicial ceremonies are analyzed as a process of power representation in the Brazilian Judicial system during the Reino Unido (Portugal and Brazil) in the beginning of the Constitutional period. The purpose is to identify resemblances and differences between both periods. As well as their relation to the two models of society, one, in theory, based on privilege and honor, and the other, on equality and individual merit.
