Resumo
A pesquisa objetiva abordar, de maneira sucinta, a historiografia argentina e brasileira no período da Grande Imigração (1880-1930), priorizando o estudo do associativismo galego em duas cidades: Buenos Aires e Rio de Janeiro. O associativismo representou um importante campo de ação e de visibilidade desse grupo imigratório tanto na sociedade de origem como nas sociedades de recepção, recriando identidades e contribuindo com as remessas para o desenvolvimento da sociedade agrícola galega. Por meio da metodologia dos estudos comparados, pretende-se analisar algumas diferenças e semelhanças da coletividade galega, o avanço da historiografia acerca da temática e as fontes utilizadas.

Abstract
The research aims to approach, in a concise way, the Argentine and Brazilian historiography in the period of the Great Immigration (1880-1930), prioritizing the study of the Galician associativism in the cities of Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro. The associativism represented an important field of action and of visibility of this immigrant group, both in its society of origin as in the societies of reception, recreating identities and contributing with the remittances to the development of Galician agricultural society. Through the methodology of the comparative studies we intend to analyze some differences and similarities of the Galician collectivity, the advance of the historiography about the theme and the used sources.
